Procedure

Today Isabel had the tubes put on her ears. To our surprise she left happily with the nurse and Curious George. I think she was so bored in the little waiting room (we had inflated a glove and were trying to keep her busy with it rather unsuccessfully) that she was happy to leave with whomever to a more interesting place. The procedure lasted about 15 minutes, and when they called us she was again very calm in the nurse's arms. She was pretty happy to see us, but  I have to admit she's more into Baba than Mami these days. But the Rock Star had to go to work, so Mami stayed with her at home. She has been great so far, had a gigantic breakfast and no signs of nausea. Has been running happily around. In fact the cashier at the grocery store even commented on how joyous she looked today. I guess she liked the anesthesia.

Back After a Lot of Days

Isabel was sick again for a long time. She keeps getting ear infections every time she has a cold, so she has been referred to an ear specialist, who will see her next Tuesday and will most likely recommend ear tubes, just like her cousin Gabo had to have. In the meantime she is again on an antibiotic, and today the fever was finally gone, and she could go to daycare for the first time this week!
Here she is, sticking her tongue out while everybody else seems to be working...

Daycare Pictures

Here are some pictures that Ms. Angelica sent.

Visit to the Zoo

A couple of weekends ago we went to the Austin Zoo. Isabel really enjoyed it!
